Not sure if it’s my pumpkin latte candle or the second cup of coffee (NOT pumpkin spice – gasp! – just regular ole coffee), but I was feeling some creative fall vibes today.
You’re not going to be surprised, I’m sure, but I really wanted a neutral fall table with some natural elements that would last all season…even if fall weather in Georgia is only like three weeks.
I started with a black and white buffalo check runner. Confession…it’s not a runner. It’s just a tablecloth that I folded. Maybe I should learn how to sew.
I added this wonderful old wooden crate that I found at a local antique place and filled it with faux hydrangeas. These hydrangeas are usually on my table late spring, through the summer, and right on into fall. I love how they look! I popped in a few small natural fiber pumpkins and voila! A beautiful fall centerpiece.
I added a couple of black candlesticks that I had on hand, some of my glass containers for that beautiful green color that I love, and these cool pumpkins with tree bark. It’s certainly not traditional fall, but just as beautiful and festive.
One of the reasons that I love fall is that you get to use so many natural elements! Pumpkins, gourds, leaves, greenery, pine cones, antlers, branches, curly willow, wood, cotton…even wicker and rattan give a fall vibe.
The black and white can easily take you from early fall, Halloween, and right on in to Thanksgiving with a few tweaks. Shoot, I may even leave it for Christmas. Just kidding.
Since we live in Georgia, I really wanted to add some of my (faux) cotton stems. I couldn’t find them anywhere! Truth be known, I just didn’t want to climb in the attic to look for them. It’s like 120 degrees in Georgia even though it’s fall. Maybe I’ll add some cotton stems later when the temps are below 90 and I brave going up to the attic. 😉
I hope you enjoyed my mini fall table tour. I listed out the sources below in case something caught your eye. Thanks so much for stopping by!
By the way, what are your favorite colors to decorate with? Do you stick to traditional fall colors or switch it up a bit? Let me know in the comments below!
Happy fall y’all!

Love, love, love the soft, natural colors. The whites and creams look so fresh and clean. Great looking table, Missy! I usually use orange, yellow and burgundy, but now I’m on my way to Michael’s to get some cream-colored hydrangeas. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Frances! Creams, whites, and neutrals are what I gravitate to. 🙂 Like you said, they are so fresh and clean. I’d love to see what you do with your cream-colored hydrangeas. Send me a pic! Thanks for commenting!
