Last week while our contractors were knocking down walls and making lots of noise, Alisa and I were trying to stay out of the house so we did one of our favorite activities….thrifting! We love to walk around and browse antique stores, second-hand markets, and vintage shops. She usually has a lollipop in hand and we play “I Spy” as we stroll through the booths.
While we were out, I scored this vintage plaid blanket and it really got me dreaming of cooler temps!
Well, we woke up yesterday morning and actually had some nice fall weather! It was a glorious crisp, cool morning! I even got to wear a sweater and booties! To celebrate, I rounded up five of my favorite fall throws on the blog today in anticipation of more cooler weather to come. The throws are all different textures, colors, patterns, and price points.
My five favorite fall throws:
Fur blankets! Really, for Georgia, these are more “winter” blankets than fall…LOL! In the winter months though, I definitely bring out our faux fur blanket. We have the fox pattern from Frontgate, but I couldn’t find it online. These are their similar luxury faux fur blankets though. They are super cozy!
This chunky knit throw helps add texture for sure. We have a very similar one and it looks great draped over the sofa or the back of a chair.
We have this blanket in Alisa’s big girl room in the mint color. My favorite thing about this striped blanket (besides the great price) is that it’s 100% cotton.
Aaaaahhh… a plush, super soft blanket is the best! On Sunday afternoons, you can usually find me cuddled up under this blanket either snoozing, reading a magazine, or drinking an afternoon cup of coffee. Ah.
Plaid blankets…you gotta have a plaid blanket (or two)! The best thing about these plaid beauties is that they are reversible!
That’s it for my round-up of cozy throws! Hope you enjoyed and will go pick out a blanket to cozy up with this season.
As for my new-to-me vintage plaid blanket that Alisa and I found last week, I have big plans for hayrides, fall picnics, and bonfires. We’re definitely going to use it when we do the Christmas parade this year in our family’s red 1954 International truck!
