Before we even moved into our home, the bathrooms were at the top of my renovation priority list. Six years later, we are finally starting the process on #1 of two bathroom remodels. Well, at least it’s within sight!
We have two bathrooms in our home and we really only use one of them because the other is just that bad. Like, I literally wash out paint brushes in there. Also, there’s no mirror and the shower is terrifying. I clean it and everything, but it’s just so claustrophobic. The entire bathroom is 32 square feet. Technically, it’s the “master bathroom” (haaa) because it’s located where the master bedroom used to be before we made that an office. It really is tucked away and if you come to my house, you may never find it! 😉
That was one of the reasons we decided to remodel the hall bathroom first instead of the tiny bathroom. The hall bathroom is the main one that everyone sees and uses. Although expanding and remodeling the tiny bathroom is still high on the priority list, we figured we would get the biggest bang for our buck with the hall bathroom for now. The only downside though is that we just may have to use the tiny bathroom while the other one is under construction. Eh, that’s just motivation to get it finished!
Now that we are finally getting this show on the road, I thought I would share these amazing bathroom spaces that are super inspiring to me.
This one is gorgeous and budget-friendly and how about those floors!
Although I love the flooring option in the photo above, our hall bathroom is an odd shape. I’m thinking a classic flooring option, but with some other modern twists in the space. I love how this bathroom accomplishes that.

Dark, moody vanities with brass hardware are really getting my attention!

This one is my absolute favorite! I love everything about it.

There are several elements that I know I want in this bathroom. White subway tile, marble, and brass and black metal finishes. (By the way, Kate at Centsational Style has a great post about mixing metal finishes in a bathroom.) I also love the statement that a dark vanity makes. I’m wondering though if our small bathroom can handle that drama. Haha…I sound like a middle school girl!
I’m also loving these white vanities. They may help our bathroom feel a bit larger and more open.

Any thoughts on a light versus dark vanity? Especially in a small bathroom? I’m working on some mood boards and will probably do two different ones with different vanities and flooring options. I’ll update the post when those are up!
